Admission: $3 (though I got in for free ’cause I got there in near the end, wooooo!)
The 4th annual Sacramento Veg Fest took place at the Fusion International Arts Center and feature speakers, demos, exhibits, tastings and more.

I could be wrong, but I think the Veg Fest is taking place here.

Oooh, mushrooms-in-a-box! I would love to try this some day, but like most other plants, I’d have to keep them in my bedroom or the cats would destroy it.

Are we sure that regular nacho cheese has actual cheese in it?

Very nice speaking area, featuring a speaker from Animal Place, which I will have to go check out some time.

The lemon pie booth was all sold out by the time I got there, boooo.

At first I was confused, but then I remembered that dogs, unlike cats, are somewhat omnivorous.

It’s an awesome giant lamp-thingy.

I got hooked up with a very tasty banana here.

It’s a good thing this sculptural bench does not have a ladder to it, as I would totally climb up on it. Because I’m 12.
Awesome-O-Meter: 3 Awesomes Somewhat smallish, but the entrance fee was certainly do-able. There was a nice selection of food booths, though some of the good stuff was gone before I got there. Also, a bit tightly packed, but this type of thing usually is. I’m sure an actual vegetarian/vegan would get quite a bit of enjoyment out of the festival, but even I, a strong enjoyer of meat found plenty of stuff the check out.
